We are honored to have been selected to represent the Estate of Barbara Riley. A wonderful local benefactor and an equally great collector, her estate is vast and will require several exciting auctions to disseminate all of the varied & quality collections. The first art auction of 32 works of art {inc. 21 by Arthur Jones} will occur this November 21. Additional auctions of a great variety of high quality property to follow.

Within the last year, we have lost two shining stars in our community. One was a much loved and wonderfully talented artist as well as a lifelong Vermonter. The other was probably the single person who has given so much and done more for the Manchester and the Mountains community than anyone in recent memory.  Arthur Jones and Barbara Riley.

What unites them is the love of Arthur’s paintings that Barbara had. She was a great collector of his work, which she hung on every wall of her home. Her support and friendship meant the world to Arthur.  With Barbara’s passing, the family has  retained Nathan Auction & Real Estate to conduct an auction of 21 of his beautiful oil paintings that were among Barbara’s favorites. In addition, there will be several paintings from other important artists plus several full-bodied weathervanes. Barbara was a great collector with a keen eye. Her vast collections will surely provide excitement to many people.

This auction IS NOW ONLINE ONLY and will take place on Saturday November 21, 2020 at 10:00 as originally planned  It will be conducted VIRTUALLY AT INVALUABLE.COM PLEASE BE SURE TO REGISTER TO BID on the Invaluable platform PRIOR TO THE AUCTION!

For the use of this great venue, her family has offered to donate the proceeds of one of the paintings to SVAC.

With respect to the Covid-19 gathering restrictions, there will be a preview on Friday November 20 12;30-5:00 where bidders may view the auction and leave absentee bids. While the state mandated Covid restrictioins have prohibited us from conduction the live auction, there will  be online, telephone and absentee bidding as with our auctions in the past. 15% base buyers premium.
