The Arthur Jones Auction~ November 23, 2019

Well-known and loved artist Arthur Jones of Dorset, Vermont has just celebrated his 91st birthday. He has been painting wonderful images of Dorset and the surrounding Vermont countryside for 70 productive years! Widely collected and often cherished scenes of the Vermont vernacular that he painted are valued parts of  homes and collections far and wide. Arthur has retained a personal treasure trove of his favorites over the years and the time has now come to exchange these beautiful paintings for the financial support that will insure that he can remain at home with the proper assistance he requires.

With that goal in mind, he has requested that we hold an auction of 30 of his most cherished works. This will be a chance to acquire an important Arthur Jones painting as well as an unusual buying opportunity.

In honor of and in appreciation for Arthur’s 70-year affiliation with the Southern Vermont Art Center in Manchester Village Vermont, SVAC has graciously agreed to provide the Wilson Gallery to conduct this special auction. It will be a live auction with absentee and live internet bidding available through
